She Could Not Believe Them When They Told Her She Was Special

Many years ago, while picking up my daughter from a university class, I took photos of some dying coneflowers on campus. While watching the young women, I imagined their efforts needed at this crossroads, their hopes, their doubts. This empathy became the mood for the piece. 

The artwork now lives with that daughter of mine, who has established a career of helping others.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven by experimentation in my work. I lean toward thinking deeply and sensitively about, well, everything; often, my work reflects those emotions. Mostly, I hope to make a bit of magic for your wall.
