She Could Not Believe Them When They Told Her She Was Special

Many years ago, while picking up my daughter from a university class, I took photos of some dying coneflowers on campus. While watching the young women, I imagined their efforts at this crossroad, their hopes, their doubts. This empathy became the mood for the piece. 

The artwork now lives with that daughter of mine, who has established a career of helping others.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven by experimentation in my work. I lean toward thinking deeply and sensitively about, well, everything; often, my work reflects those emotions. Mostly, I hope to make a bit of magic for your wall.
