ABOUT

An artist in a meadow collecting flowers for botanical art.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven by experimentation. I play with different combinations of materials and love the challenge of exploring abstraction in the natural world.
When I'm not fearlessly following my artistic heart,
I love walking by the river

and listening to the birds and little animals.

My current work combines colour-stained, frayed canvas pieces,

metal wire, and shrink wrap.

As a child, in front of the TV, I drew the wild animals on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Then, with my Mom's urging, I sent my baby sister's portrait to Kitchener TV's Miss Betty's Romper Room and surprisingly won. Early validations made me realize that art could hold purpose.

In 2022, I chose to pursue art full-time after a rogue allergy led to anaphylactic shock and a pivotal, too-close brush with death.

Amid my ongoing fine art series, my empathetic artist's heart has made a one-of-a-kind gift to ease the grief of losing a beloved pet.

The ultimate pet memorial gift, the ©Memory Frame, is hinged to the back of an original hand-painted Pet Portrait. It is a unique handmade gift idea that lets your special person know you care about their connection to their pet(s).

Gratefully, these purchases allow my fine-art pursuits.

BIOGRAPHY

Forever learning and amassing new creative skills.

This photo was taken at the 2011 London Sunfest Art and Music Festival. The painting (on the right) of an amaryllis won the Juror’s Choice award for 'Acrylic Botanical' (their first accepted semi-abstract botanical) at Papermill Gallery, Todmorden Mills, Toronto, Ontario, in 2012.

Jade Brown was born in 1961 in rural Tavistock, Ontario, Canada. She attended CASS, a high school in Woodstock, Ontario, with a notable art program.

An invitation to accept a summer art scholarship at Toronto’s Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in her 17th year forever advanced her artistic expression.

Upon graduation, she bypassed art college to express her professional life in multi-creative endeavours. Jade provided architectural renderings, builders' brochures, and retail designs alongside her artworks.

"As a third generation art collector, I'm proud to own artworks that range from signed Modernist originals to naive South American folk art and more contemporary pieces. The Jade Browns in my collection more than hold their own: they are diverse in their styles, media, and size and are often the first that visitors gavitate to"

Since 2022, we have sold Jade's originals and we have also had great success commissioning inspired art from her for our interior design clients. Our clients benefit from Jade's beautiful pieces and the reasonable price points."

"I commissioned a mixed media artwork from Jade and it was a fantastic experience. Her creative ideas suited the space beautifully, she met a tight deadline, and her pricing was reasonable. Jade's dedication to perfection made my piece outstanding"

"It was effortless to order a custom painted artwork from Jade. I saw her work on Instagram @jadebrowncreates and mentioned a painting I liked. Then, she created two artworks from which I could choose. I ended up ordering a few smaller pieces, too, as gifts. My art is now happily hanging in my home in California. If anyone wants to order art from an artist but wonders about the process, I want people to know how pleasant and easy it is to work with Jade and that her artwork is beautiful. Thank you, Jade.
