ABOUT

-A too-close brush with death-
Seizing a clichéd motto about the possibility of regret, I picked up my paintbrush again after a pivotal, too-close brush with death in 2022. This, I suppose, is what almost-dying does for people.
Since then, I've explored many aspects of my life, but art remains my cornerstone. Living with art can transform a room's energy, open our minds, make us happier, and inspire us to dream bigger.
Commissioning art is uncomplicated; a commissioned piece allows non-artists to be part of a gratifying and creative collaboration.
They are easily visualized with quick marker sketches (a leftover from my architectural rendering career), guiding this gratifying process. I've always worked in varied art styles and mediums when called upon to produce works for designers; we can experiment with diverse materials and methods or stick to acrylic or watercolours. See a few reviews below.
The juxtaposition and division of our inner and outer-facing selves is something I have begun to explore in some of my art.
When not fearlessly following my artistic heart, I spend time with the plants and animals in my garden.
“It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.” - Henry David Thoreau

I commissioned a custom nursery mural from Jade Brown, a local London artist. I wanted to surprise my daughter, son-in-law, and their newborn as they moved into a new home. It was a great surprise for them, and everyone loved it. Jade did an incredible job.
