COPYRIGHT:
Copyright is designed to protect any creative work by artists and other creators. Only I (Jade Brown) have the right to edit, modify, make other use of, and distribute these photos. You must contact me if you wish to use a photo for something more than sharing it with a friend.
I retain the copyright of my artwork, even after your purchase.

FAIR USE: is a legal principle in copyright law allowing the narrow use of copyrighted work without asking permission, e.g. sharing a photo to show a friend, for news reasons, educational purposes, or to comment on it.

YOUR PRIVACY:
CLIENT PET PHOTOS or PHOTOS OF A CLIENT'S HOME OR OFFICE INTERIOR:
As an artist, it is often helpful to share photos of your home or office interior when choosing the size and colour of an artwork. You must also provide photos of your pet when ordering a pet portrait, which may include parts of your home's interior or your property's exterior.

I keep these photos in files. I rename the photos with your and your pet's names to keep them if a client wants another item in the future, a memorial gift, or, in the case of a fine art piece, to have a reference for a certain "before photo" of a room. I assure you that they languish in this file, where I add other people's photos alongside yours. I do clear out the oldest photos when the file gets too full.

MY STORAGE OF THESE PHOTOS:
If storing these photos makes you uncomfortable, I am more than happy to delete them after I use them. Just add that note for me.
As a suggestion, you may want to "cut out," blur, or not send a photo you feel uncertain about sending.

PET PORTRAITS and ©MEMORY FRAMES:
I try hard to make the process as easy as possible for you. Please review my examples in the Pet Portrait or ©Memory Frames pages.
Pet Portraits requires you to send photos of your pet. Upload them using the UPLOAD button found on the CONTACT PAGE, send them by email, or request to text them to me.
As an artist, I know a great photo translates to a beautiful portrait. However, many of these are gifts for other people in your lives, and you may not have access to a perfect photo. That's okay; I will do my best to provide the perfect painting from any photo.
You can also shop by phone if you prefer -

OPTIONS and CHOICES OF MEMORY FRAMES/PORTRAITS:
You will be asked about the choice of frames and more, but most clients choose the "ARTIST CHOICE" option. Many years working in the design industry have given me adequate experience, but please feel free to provide photos of where it may reside to help me with colour choices. Of course, some of us prefer specific colours. Any choice is fine.
TIPS FOR HANGING YOUR ARTWORK:
I provide solid hanging systems for all the art pieces and also metal desk/table stands for small artworks. Please choose the correct nail or screw to use with the hanger to avoid an artwork falling off your wall.
ARTWORKS WITH WIRE AND D-RINGS:
Bigger artworks are supplied with braided wire (the heavier the painting, the heavier the wire) tied to traditional D-rings screwed to the artwork back. Employ a handyman/woman to properly drill a hole and insert a plastic wall anchor and a sufficient screw for it to hang onto. Heavier artwork typically should be hung using two or sometimes three wall anchors and screws.
For lighter-weight artwork, you should be able to use a picture hanger system that includes a nail that is secured to an attached metal hanger.

ARTWORKS WITH A BLACK METAL WALL HANGER WITH TEETH:
For small artworks and lightweight medium artworks, I provide a small black metal hanger with "teeth." You must NOT use a "sloped headed"/standard-shaped screw head as the slope allows the artwork to slip off. Instead, use a nail with a larger head. Hammer a nail with a larger head downward toward the drywall. The nail head will sit between and behind the teeth perfectly.
I do not accept responsibility for an artwork falling off the wall unless I have employed someone to hang it for you.
Having said that, I am always available at an hourly rate to fix any damage to the artwork sustained from a fall.
PRIVACY and SAFETY:
Every online seller uses third-party banking to verify payment. The WIX company under which I operate this website achieves the best privacy and business practices on my behalf. Under their suggestion, I choose to further protect personally identifiable information with an added layer of protection. You can be assured that I do nothing with your information.

YOUR PROVIDED PERSONAL INFORMATION:
If you provide your email address to sign up for a newsletter (as an example), I will do nothing else with it, meaning I will not sell it or send you Emojis at odd hours. (I need to sleep). I do nothing more than marvel at your kindness in signing up and hope that you, in turn, gain value. (I haven't quite yet set up my newsletter sign-up)

If you are an interior designer who wishes to work with an artist who can create works of any size and will use the colours of a provided colour palette, I have extensive experience successfully working with designers.

RETURNS:
Customer service is very important to me. In the case of hand-painted artwork and custom handmade products, I provide numerous examples of the product and my work for you to assess; therefore, in fairness, your purchase is expected to be final. If you are concerned about your artwork or product, please contact me right away.
It is essential to look at all the photos of the piece you wish to buy. I try hard to ensure the photos are the colours of the original artwork; however, even phones and other devices of the same manufacturing company will display different colours. If you are in the London area, you can set an appointment to view the art if you prefer.
Communication will always be part of a major fine art purchase; I am happy to provide more photos and/or create a mock-up using the wall in your home or office to give you a better idea of how the artwork will look in your space.
