Tic Tac Blue | Geometric Textile Art
This piece was inspired by a colourful kalim rug that sits in my entryway. It is part of a geometric abstract textile series. Stained linens and canvases sewn together in grid formations against textured geometric shapes, sometimes with coloured wire and electrical heat-shrink. The use of wire is inspired by the work of Gego (Gertrud Louise Goldschmidt), 1912 - 1994.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven by experimentation with various materials. Mostly, I hope to make a bit of magic for your wall.
