Inspired by the wire work of Gego 1912- 1994, and a grouping of sticks I happened upon during a walk. Flat Canvas, Mixed Media: Acrylic paint, stained raw canvas, coloured wire, heat shrink.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven by experimentation and like to create upbeat art. Sometimes things fall apart, but occasionally, I make a bit of magic.
This is part of the textile series. Stained linens and canvases sewn together in grid formations juxtaposed against the narrative of textured paint, sometimes with coloured wire and electrical heat-shrink. The use of wire is inspired by the work of Gego (Gertrud Louise Goldschmidt), 1912 - 1994.
